2022 Opening Day

The Greenfield Farmers Market is excited to announce our 2022 season will kick off April 30th!

Spring is here!

The Greenfield Farmers’ Market returns to Court Square each Saturday morning to offer fresh local plants, vegetables, meat and so much more! The market will host over 25 vendors are this year and will continue to offer a wide variety of locally grown farm products and specialty crafts from local artisans. Some of the products you will find include perennial plants, flowers, a wide variety of vegetables including mushrooms, sourdough bread, pasture raised beef and pork, maple products, handmade quilts and other knits, and more!

The success of the Greenfield Farmers Market is owed to our loyal customers and wonderful vendors. The Greenfield Farmers’ Market extends a big thank you to our customers for keeping this market funning for so many years! Like us on Facebook and sign up for our newsletter to stay informed. We are actively recruiting volunteers, if interested please contact Market Manager, Victoria McGarril, at info@greenfieldfarmersmarket.com.

Farms, Food, and More!

Throughout the season, market go-ers will find their favorite fruit and veggie farmers like Clarkdale Fruit Farm, Hart Farm, Lyonsville Farm, Just Roots, and Warner Farm. We welcome back other favorites like Beaumont Berries, Bostrom Farm, Hearthstone Artisan Bakery, Sunrise Maple, Wild Bramble, and too many others to list! The market has some exciting new products at the market, like cheese from Grace Hill Dairy, starter vegetable plants from Jesse's Best Tomato Plants, and many new artisan vendors. There will be an extensive variety of other vegetables along with a wide range of fruit and non-food items such as fresh-cut flowers, herbal teas, salves, essential oils, crafts, woodworking products, clothing, handmade bags, and more from our artisan vendors that vary each week. For a full lis of vendors and more information on their products, visit the Vendor page. The Calendar page will include a list of vendors you can expect to find each market date.

The market is happy to announce that the 2022 season will also welcome back musicians! We will host a variety of musicians through the season, and encourage our market go-ers to show their appreciation for the Greenfield arts by visiting their booth in The Common. Please refer to the market website for up-to-date information on which musicians will be joining the market each week (see our About page for an online application).

The market will also continue to support SNAP and Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) customers. HIP allows SNAP customers to double their SNAP dollars when they purchase fruit and vegetables from Farmers that are equipped to accept SNAP. Many of our vendors have EBT machines directly at their market booth. Once customers make their initial purchase, they can then purchase any eligible SNAP foods with the incentive earned from purchasing approved HIP fruits and vegetables! “When a SNAP customer swipes their SNAP/EBT card for fruit and vegetable purchases, an equal amount of incentive funds are immediately and automatically added back to their cards, up to the monthly cap. For example, if a family uses their SNAP benefits to buy $15 of fresh produce at a farmers’ market, a credit of $15 will be immediately returned to their EBT card.” Find out more about HIP at: https://www.mass.gov/service-details/massachusetts-healthy-incentives-program-hip.

Finally, we will be joined by several community groups for opening day! The market is excited to announce that Stone Soup Cafe will be at the market demonstrating their new offering, the Stone Soup Culinary Institute! The institue will offer training and practice in the fundamentals of cooking, improved knife techniques, preparing stocks, soups, sauces, desserts, poultry, fish & meat, culinary math & measurements, and so much more! We will also have the Greenfield Garden Club joining us - and just in time for market go-ers to get started on their gardens! Be sure to stop by their booth, learn some tips and tricks, and then pick up some starter plants. Stop back the first Saturday in May when most of our starter plant sellers will be at the market.

See you soon!
